Google to shutdown 10 products

Google announced that they are going to shutdown 10 of their major products. The official google blog says that "Technology improves, people’s needs change, some bets pay off and others don’t. So, as Larry previewed on our last earning call, today we’re having a fall spring-clean at Google".

Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot Beta 1 available for download


 

Good news for ubuntu fans. After the release of alpha 1, alpha 2, and alpha 3 versions, the latest Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot Beta 1 is available for download now.  I think most of the users will be disappointed with the old version's interface. But this new version comes with a latest nice looking graphical user interface.

Run latest games with low graphics memory



You can now play latest games in your system without having any high graphics memory.  Just follow these steps.
Step 1: Download this package from here (only less than 1MB)
Step 2: copy the d3d8.dll, d3d9.dll and SwiftShader.ini into the games directory (that is, if your game is installed in E:\Games\NFS then copy those files and paste it into the same folder.

Ubuntu stopped their free CD shipping service





This really is a bad news. Ubuntu has stopped their free CD shipping service. Their official website says this- “After delivering millions of Ubuntu CDs to millions of new users, our Ship It programme has finally run its course”. But ubuntu is still available to download. No more free CDs for ubuntu lovers ;(
