How to make fonts from your own handwriting [Tutorial]

It would be really cool if you can turn your own handwriting into vector fonts and use them in you computer or even in your android devices. Here, I am explaining how to create a font online from your handwriting.
We can do this with the help of an online service called MyScriptFont.com.
Step by step procedure is given below

Step1
Go to the website and download the template given there.
Step2
Take the print out of the file and fill it
Step 3
Scan the filled document and upload it to the website
Step 4
Give a name for your font and select the file format. Then click on the Send file button.

That's it. You will get the link to download your font and you can use it where ever you want.

Points to remember while filling and uploading the documents:

  • Use a felt pen to fill out the template. Pen color should be black, but a dark blue pen will also work. Do not use a pencil.
  • Scan your image as grayscale at 150 or 300dpi. Hihger resolutions will not improve the result. The scan must be in portrait format.
  • In case of an error while filling out the template you can use white-Out and rewrite the character.
  • Uploads can be as large as 5MB and up to 6000 x 9000 pixels. If your scan is larger try to convert it to JPEG or scale it down.
